HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices
How health information may be used when someone books care through Elixia Skin Pro, and the choices they have about that information.
Last Updated: October 22, 2026
This notice
Elixia Skin Pro is a technology platform that connects customers with independent clinics and practitioners for aesthetic, beauty, and wellness care. Elixia does not itself provide those clinical services. The clinic or practitioner who sees you is responsible for the care and for the clinical record of that visit.
When a clinic in the United States is covered by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), health information created or kept for your care may be protected health information. This notice describes how that information may be used and disclosed, and the rights you may have. It also describes the information the platform handles so an account, a booking, and a visit can work.
Who this covers
- Customers who book, pay, or keep a visit history.
- Practitioners who list a profile, accept bookings, and record a visit.
- Clinic teams who manage a listing, staff, schedules, and records.
- People who send health details through the website, the app, or a message to a clinic.
Our responsibilities
Clinics and, where the law applies, the platform are expected to keep health information private, to give notice of privacy practices, and to follow the notice that is in effect. Elixia keeps account and booking information so the marketplace can run. The clinic keeps the clinical record of the care it provides.
How information may be used
Protected health information may be used or disclosed for treatment, payment, and healthcare operations. On this platform that includes sharing what a clinic needs in order to prepare for a booking, take payment, send a reminder, keep a visit record, and look after the safety of the marketplace. Information may also be used or disclosed when the law requires it, including public-health reporting and requests from regulators.
What the platform holds
- Account details, and the country market you are browsing.
- Booking requests, appointment times, and the service or package you chose.
- Messages you send a clinic or practitioner.
- Photos and reviews you choose to post, including before-and-after images.
- Payment references from the processor that handled the charge. Full card numbers are handled by that processor.
Your rights
- Request access to or a copy of certain health records held for your care.
- Ask for a correction.
- Ask for limits on certain uses or disclosures.
- Ask to be contacted in a particular way.
- Receive an accounting of certain disclosures when the law provides one.
- Receive a copy of this notice.
A request about a clinical record is handled with the clinic that created it. A request about the Elixia account itself can be made from Profile, then Settings, in the app, or through the delete-account page when you no longer have the app. Closing an account anonymises it. Bookings, visits, and payment records stay under an anonymous record because clinics have to keep them.
Authorizations
Uses or disclosures that the law does not already allow need written authorization. You may revoke an authorization in writing, except where action has already been taken in reliance on it.
This is not for emergencies
The website, the app, and messages on them are not an emergency service. If you need urgent medical help, contact local emergency services.
Questions
Questions about this notice can be sent to info@elixiaskinpro.com or through the contact page. Questions about a clinic's own privacy practices should go to that clinic. The Privacy Policy describes the other information the platform collects, and the Terms and Conditions govern use of the platform.
